And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.

- Anais Nin

Our aspiration for a wholesome and fulfilling life often leads us towards the path of healing and growth. I believe that psychotherapy is a powerful tool that aids in this transformation. In my practice, I aim to create a safe, caring, and confidential space. Such an environment allows for deep reflection on yourself and on your relationships, which can serve as a catalyst for change and healing.

In collaboration, we can address the following issues:

  •  Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Stress

  • Low self-esteem

  • Relationship challenges

  • Trauma (childhood or developmental trauma as well as shock trauma)

  • Identity (racial, gender and sexual, amongst others)

  • Cultural and generational matters

  • Life transitions

  • Grief and loss

My work is guided by the principle that we experience the world through various parts of ourselves including the mind, emotions, body, and spirit. Therefore, the integrative approach I use combines depth-oriented psychotherapy, somatic experiencing, cognitive-behavioral approaches, and mindfulness practices.

In addition to talk therapy, I offer the opportunity to use other modalities such as visual arts, music, movement, drama, and poetry, when suitable to your needs. These modalities, collectively called “Expressive Arts Therapy,” enrich the therapeutic process by enabling us to access deep and profound material that promotes greater self-awareness and development of inner strengths.  Stimulating the creative aspects of oneself also helps overcome blocks to living to our full potential and supports making meaningful connections with others.

Therapeutic services are available to couples, individuals and adult families (or friends).
